A Japanese speech contest "Nichiben" was held by international students from NIPPON Language Institute and NIPPON Culture Institute.

A total of 21 students, 12 in the morning session and 9 in the afternoon session, took the stage to deliver speeches on the theme "What is Happiness? ～The theme of the speeches was "What is Happiness?

Maebashi City Council members and the Otemachi neighborhood council president were the guests of honor and gave warm words of encouragement to the students' serious speeches.

In their presentations, each student talked about the "happiness" they felt, including encounters with people in Japan, growth gained through challenges, and the importance of family and friends.
